Video-Trail and Gun
Straight And Narrow Deacon (AKA Deacon) is a stocky built, 15.1hh, 9 yr old, Bay/White Tobiano Gelding! He is a registered Pleasure Saddle Horse with a good pedigree. Deacon has been owned by a local preacher who gave him the name of Deacon. He said “A Preachers main helper is his head Deacon and he is my helper.” He said that during the summers Deacon couldn’t get a day off, that the grandkids were on him every day that they had a chance! He said that on the weekends that they would load up and go ride with their local saddle club but they were always back for Sunday services. On several Saturday nights during show season, at local fun shows, they have shown Deacon and won multiple ribbons with him. The church is planning a big mission trip to the Dominican Republic and the Preacher said “What kind of hipocrit would I be if I didn’t give up my leasure activities and toys, which to me is my horse, when I preach and tell the congregation that you must give up some possessions to do the work of the Lord?” So the Preacher sold Deacon and gave all the money to the missions account. Deacon is easy to catch, clip, bath, tack-up, load, and handle. Deacon is safe for most beginners to ride. He has a natural 4-beat gait. Deacon has had professional gaiting, trail and bombproof training. He has been ridden around farm equipment, ATV’s, over large noisy tarps and has also had guns shot off of his back. Just like everything we say about our horses, we have the videos to prove it, make sure to take a look at those on our website. No matter where he goes or what he does, Deacon is not spooky acting. On the trails he is always great! Deacon has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked too. He has been rode many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure footed. He has been rode in traffic, and is very traffic safe around cars, semi, log, and dump trucks. He has a great personality and a great attitude about whatever he is asked to do. Straight and narrow is the way!!! Feel free to call me with any questions.
