Stetson’s Mountain Gold (AKA Stetson) is a super stocky, built like a QH, 15hh, 11 yr old, Golden Palomino Gelding. He is a registered Pleasure Saddle Horse and has a good pedigree. Stetson has been trail ridden hundreds of miles here locally. He has been ridden through large subdivisions, up and down busy highways, and around the outskirts of a small town. Stetson has been shown at local fun shows in all sorts of classes from the “catch your horse race”, to the baby bottle contest, musical feed sacks, the balloon pop, egg and spoon class, and the water glass class. He has saw it all from babies in strollers, to kids with ballons, flags flying in the air, kids running around… nothing bothers him!  He has been ridden by several beginners, kids as well, and even a pregnant lady! With a tight economy, a new baby in the house and a slow job, my neighbor decided that he needed to sell his horses, so Stetson came to us. Stetson is easy to catch, clip, bath, tack-up, load, and handle. Stetson is gentle and safe for any beginner to ride and he will help build your confidence levels. He is willing to go slow and easy but will move out when asked. He has a natural runwalking gait and will also Rack!  He is always super smooth regardless of the rider! At AHAMC we have owned thousands of horses over the last 15 years and without a doubt Stetson is one of the top 3 we have ever owned! Stetson has had 2 months of professional gaiting, trail and bombproof training. He has been ridden around farm equipment, ATV’s, over large noisy tarps and has also had guns shot off of his back. Just like everything we say about our horses, we have the videos to prove it, make sure to take a look at those on our website. No matter where he goes or what he does, Stetson is not spooky acting. On the trails he is always great! Stetson has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked too. He has been rode many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure footed. He has been rode in traffic, and is very traffic safe around cars, semi, log, and dump trucks. He has a great personality and a great attitude about whatever he is asked to do. He is dependable as a Stetson!!! Feel free to call me with any questions.
