Call Me J-Boy (AKA J-Boy) is a stocky built, 16hh, 10 yr old, Golden Palomino Gelding!!! He is a registered Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse and has a good pedigree. J-Boy has made his home up in Eastern Kentucky since he was a youngster, with a middle aged gentleman, who has trail ridden him hundreds of miles. J-Boy has been trailered and camped in several different states and been ridden in multiple state and national parks. He has been shown at local fun shows and won dozens of ribbons. He has also been ridden in a couple parades. The only reason that this gentleman sold J-Boy is because this gentleman has a taste for nice young horses. He has accumulated several coming three year old colts. So he has several young horses that he needs to be riding and it seemed that all spring and summer, every time that he was going riding although he planned to take one of the youngsters, when it was time to load up the horses he found himself taking his “ mr.steady edy”, J-Boy. He finally decided that the only way he was ever going to get time on his younger horses was to sell J-Boy. He is easy to catch, clip, bath, tack-up, load, and handle. J-Boy is safe for a most beginners to ride. He has a natural 4-beat old time saddle gait and is as smooth as any horse you will find! J-Boy has had 1 month of professional gaiting, trail and bombproof training. He has been ridden around farm equipment, ATV’s, over large noisy tarps and has also had guns shot off of his back. Just like everything we say about our horses, we have the videos to prove it, make sure to take a look at those on our website. No matter where he goes or what he does, J-Boy is steady. On the trails he is always great! J-Boy has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked too. He has been rode many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure footed. He has been rode in traffic, and is very traffic safe around cars, semi, log, and dump trucks. He has a great personality and a great attitude about whatever he is asked to do. Don’t miss him!!! Feel free to call me with any questions.
