Video-Trail and Gun
Boardwalk’s Gold Buck (AKA Buck) is a 15.1hh, 4 yr old, Buckskin Gelding with all black points! He is registered Pleasure Saddle Horse and has a great pedigree. We bought Buck back in December, he was already a good horse with a great mind and Jason liked him so much that he decided to keep him this spring so that he could take him on all the large local trail rides. Jason took Buck on his anniversary trail riding trip with wife and kids, where they went camping at The Land Between The Lakes for a week. He took him riding for a whole week at the big Knott County ride. At the Knott County ride on Tuesday a friend of Jason’s came to him and asked if he could borrow a horse for his kids to ride the rest of the week because one of his horses had gotten kicked on the trailer ride down. Jason told him to go over to his picketline and where 8 horses and 1 mule was tied up and he could take any one of them that he wanted. The guy took Buck and the kids rode together with Jason on Tuesday. With the thousands of people that are down there it is easy to lose contact with someone and Jason didn’t see his friend, the kids or Buck again until Thursday night… There was 3 kids ages 6-13 stacked on Buck just setting there by the stage watching the concert while the lights were flashing and music was blaring. He knew Buck was fine and the kids sure was having the time of their life! They brought Buck back to Jason’s camp Saturday night and said that they had ridden him everywhere! Through water that was up to the saddle, down to the restaurant in town and up beside the stage during the concert. They said they had a great time with Buck and they really appreciated getting to borrow him. Buck has been shown at local fun shows about several weekends and has always won a ribbon. Buck is easy to catch, clip, bath, tack-up, load, and handle. Buck is gentle and safe for most beginners to ride. He will flatfoot walk slowly down the highways or on the trails and he can move on easily when asked. He has a natural runwalking gait where he will nod his head and an excellent racking gait! Buck has had 5 months of professional gaiting, trail and bombproof training. He has been ridden around farm equipment, ATV’s, over large noisy tarps and has also had guns shot off of his back. Just like everything we say about our horses, we have the videos to prove it, make sure to take a look at those on our website. No matter where he goes or what he does, Buck not spooky acting. On the trails he is always great! Buck has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked too. He has been rode many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure footed. He has been rode in traffic, and is very traffic safe around cars, semi, log, and dump trucks. He has a great personality and a great attitude about whatever he is asked to do. Anyone would love this Gold Buck!!! Feel free to call me with any questions.
